Community Helps Raise $75,000 for End-of-Life Care at the McClure Miller Respite House

COLCHESTER, Vt. – The 2022 Jiggety Jog & Fun Run annual fundraiser incorporated virtual and in-person events this year to benefit the University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice’s McClure Miller Respite House. The McClure Miller Respite House is Vermont’s only Medicare-certified inpatient hospice residence.

This year, Vermont Lieutenant Governor Molly Gray opened the event, sharing the special experience hospice care offered her family during the COVID-19 pandemic. State Representative Lori Houghton helped close the event by sharing a personal story, celebrating this year’s fundraising frontrunner, Alice Christian; Rep. Houghton also announced that the fundraiser had exceeded its fundraising goal.

“The McClure Miller Respite House offers exceptional end-of-life care and the Jiggety Jog annual fundraiser is crucial to our ability to offer compassionate care for patients and their families regardless of ability to pay,” said Adrianne Johnson Ross, president and chief operating officer for UVM Health Network - Home Health & Hospice.
