Welcome to VNAs of Vermont

The nine not-for-profit member agencies of the VNAs of Vermont provide a full range of high-quality home health and hospice services to the people of every city and town in Vermont, regardless of ability to pay. Each year, member agencies deliver more than a million home visits by nurses, speech therapists, physical and occupational therapists, wound care specialists, social workers, home health aides, personal care attendants and others. The VNAs of Vermont is a not-for-profit trade association representing all of Vermont’s not-for-profit home health and hospice agencies and the people they serve, supporting a healthier Vermont, building stronger families and transforming our communities.

When providing care for patients it must be done in a legal and ethical manner. This presentation will list ethical principles we should consider when delivering care as well as the more common allegations such as negligence, assault & battery and abuse that Nurse Aides should understand. Increased knowledge promotes adherence to standards of care and compliance with regulations & your agency’s policies and procedures.

The New England Home Care & Hospice Conference and Trade Show is the region’s premier event for home care and hospice agencies. It’s hosted by the six New England state home care associations, which collectively represent nearly 400 organizations. This coming year, the conference will be held at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth, MA from June 5 - 7, 2019. The conference is designed for senior and mid-level administrative and clinical staff. The conference features multiple keynote sessions, workshops, and intensive programs. Topics are designed to meet the needs of all agencies, including Medicare-certified, private duty, and hospices. The trade show is the largest home health and hospice expo in the Northeast.
